Most times these programs I recommend can remove the harder to remove trojans. When you run these, you MUST BE OFFLINE, AND you need to restart the computer WHILE the programs are running. OTHERWISE, they sometimes can not be removed. Disable all other virus ans spyware software except these and remove them permamnently.
You need these: Trendmicro Housecall, Spybot Search and Destroy and AVG Free Antivirus.
NOTE: Get updates first, THEN disconnect from the Web when you run these programs, then restart, do NOT CONNECT to the Web yet, and run them again. Don't turn off SpyBot when you turn off the system. When at trendmicro, select "Scan Now It's Free"
Also, stay informed with the YAHOO Computer Geek Team!

First things first... Try downloading this (it's free):
http://free.grisoft.com (this is the best free anti-virus I know)
If it does not work, try the following web sites:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com
http://us.mcafee.com/root/mfs
http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan
If all of these fail, follow these steps:
/1/ Make a copy of all the files you'd like to keep, for instance on a USB drive.
/2/ Usually, computers are now delivered with a CD that re-installs a clean copy of Windows and re-formats the drive. If you have this CD, use it to clean up your drive. If not ask a friend who has the same computer to lend it to you.
/3/ Once you have cleaned-up your computer, install an anti-virus and a firewall. Here is a good one: http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com . Then, scan your USB drive to clean up the infected files and copy them back to your hard disk.
I realize this is not perfect, but it's the best you can do when a really tough virus/trojan installs itself on your Windows machine... Sorry if that does not really help you!

If your virus checker is not finding it and your adware program is not finding it how do you know you have on. If you do have a Trojan and know what it is why don't you delete it.
You may want to update you virus checker. It should then find this and take care of it. If you checker did find it at some time in the past and you chose to guarantee them the program doesn't delete it but isolates it so it should not work.
You need to answer the above questions before anyone can help.

Sounds like it is in your temp files. Open Internet explorer, go to tools, Internet options, Delete all cookies, Delete all files(make sure you put a check in the box that says all offline files). This will speed your computer up a little and might get rid of that Trojan. Also you might want to defrag your hard drive to speed your computer up a little more. Double click My computer, right click your hard drive, go to properties, click tools, then click defragment now. It might take a while to defrag depending on when you last defraged it. Hope this helps.

Working with a slow computer can be time consuming as programs/ applications take a long time to start. This problem is more pronounced in computers which have been used for 6 or more months. More information at http://fixit.in/slowcomputer.html

Do you actually have an anti-virus RUNNING on your computer? My friend just had an anti-virus icon on his desktop, and he thought that meant he had anti-virus on his computer -- it didn't.
Make sure your anti-virus is set to actively scan for viruses. Open your anti-virus and scan your entire computer for viruses. That could take awhile. Delete all the viruses it finds.
Keep your anti-virus running at all times. This just means your antivirus is set to keep watch on everything you're doing. Like if you download something with a virus in it, you're anti-virus will alert you. Update it on a regular basis so it knows what new viruses to look for.
A free anti-virus is AVG. You can get it from here.

It sounds like you already have Ad-Aware SE, which is good. You should update that and run it once a week.

Try using http://www.trendmicro.com/en/home/us/personal.htm to scan your computer for free. Look in the lower right corner under Free tools and services: Scan your PC for viruses, this has worked for me in the past or you can also go to http://www.pandasoftware.com/ and you can scan and disinfect your PC. Both of these site have worked for me in the past when my computer was really slow; I really like Panda Software and have purchased it for my protection against viruses, spyware, hackers, spam, and other Internet threats. I'm sure there are many others but try these for free and I'm sure they will detect the Trojan on your computer. I have recommended Panda Software to a few people and they have all been happy. You would think I worked for the company but I don't. ;-)

Which adaware program do you have? There are some out there they act like they are helping but are infact are the problem themselves.
Some good free adware removal programs are:
Ad-Aware - http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php
Spybot: S&D - http://www.safer-networking.org/
Windows Defender - http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
Some of the tougher adware programs may benefit you running them in Window's Safe Mode. To do this:
Restart your PC.
Hold F8 as it boots up
After a second a screen will come up asking you to choose your startup mode.
Choose "Safe Mode"
Continue the spyware scan as normal.
Running in safe mode ensures that your PC has the minimum of processes running. This will ensure that there is nothing running that can reinstall the adware as soon as you remove it.
