if you started smoking weed b3fore you were a teenager lets say perhaps 11 and you are now 15 can that decrease a man to produce sperm? and if they did will their sperm be difficult? perhaps lets say watery semen?

Okay, first of all, semen has different textures for different men. Second of all, said theoretical fifteen-year-old male is still not an adult therefore his body is still in that weird state of turning from child into an adult (think of it like a young rattlesnake -- once bitten, one could end up with nearly no toxin or heart-stopping amounts because the snake is a juvenile and has no control over venom production yet).

Second, if said young man chooses to have intercourse, he should use condoms EVERY TIME. Condoms and spermicidal foam is an even better idea -- if you can *see* the birth control in use, you *know* it's there. Watery semen can have quite a lot of spermatazoa in it and it only takes one tiny sperm cell to bring a child into the world equally miserable as said unhappy teenager. (Happy teens don't use drugs. Sorry, but they don't.)

Third, said theoretical teenaged gentleman should consider not smoking, snorting, or shooting up anything because he has about 60 years left (if you don't die of an accident or overdose) and what he is doing right now is screwing up his future.

HELL YA!!! Your penis will be a size of a peanut!!! Just kidding.

Look, at your young age...you shouldnt be messing with anything at all. You are supposed to be at your growth stages and going through puberty...etc.

You dont want anything foreign in your body. Your body doesnt want anything foreign in your body.

Weed...ya its nothing compared to other drugs but its still something. It can kill a lot of your brain cell, it give you memory loss, it can make you fat as a cow, it can indeed make your little guy down there go limp and it can open the doors to bigger and badder drugs.

Eventually your body will grow....how can I say this...ummmm lets say "immune" to the high. You will need to do more and more and eventually your going to start lacing that thing and its going to move on to bigger drugs. This can become very costly might I add and the next thing you know...you open your eyes and your a homeless crack head laying flat on your back under a pay phone in downtown LA and there is a cop trying to wake you up with a stick to tell you that you need to get up and move on out of there and your brain understands what he is saying but it wont send the message on to your body to MOVE!

Just lay off of it. Oh and if I were you...I would get the sperm issue checked out with the doc. There are free places you can go to on your own if you dont want to tell your family.

Yes, weed causes lowered sperm count, and an increased number of abnormal sperm. Don't worry about retarded babies, abnormal sperm usually cannot even swim far enough to fertilize an egg. Sh!t usually gets back to normal after you quit. Worse than your sperm though, is your brain. At 11 years of age your brain is still developing, and as relaxing and wonderful being high is, it is not worth stunting the developing brain. It all depends though, if the career you want to follow does not require smarts and even a monkey could do it, then you'll be fine.

Sounds like you are infertile. Don't blame it on the weed.

I think you may have a problem, although I doubt that the weed was the cause.

Scientific studies have proven that there is no link between weed and sperm count or quality.

At 15 its not something that should be bothering you just yet, i wouldnt be worrying about you having a low sperm count, or being infertile, at worst you spermatooza have likely not matured yet, and that would be why you are getting the results of "watery sperm".

As you age (approximately 18 - 19), if you are still having an issue with this, i would seek specialist attention, other than that, for your own future health benefits, get off the pot, it causes much more severe reactions than just "watery sperm", such as........

Someone who smokes marijuana regularly may have many of the same respiratory problems as tobacco smokers. These individuals may have daily cough and phlegm, symptoms of chronic bronchitis, and more frequent chest colds. Continuing to smoke marijuana can lead to abnormal functioning of lung tissue injured or destroyed by marijuana smoke.

Recent findings indicate that smoking marijuana while shooting up cocaine has the potential to cause severe increases in heart rate and blood pressure. In one study, experienced marijuana and cocaine users were given marijuana alone, cocaine alone, and then a combination of both. Each drug alone produced cardiovascular effects; when they were combined, the effects were greater and lasted longer. The heart rate of the subjects in the study increased 29 beats per minute with marijuana alone and 32 beats per minute with cocaine alone. When the drugs were given together, the heart rate increased by 49 beats per minute, and the increased rate persisted for a longer time. The drugs were given with the subjects sitting quietly. In normal circumstances, an individual may smoke marijuana and inject cocaine and then do something physically stressful that may significantly increase the risk of overloading the cardiovascular system.

A study of college students has shown that critical skills related to attention, memory, and learning are impaired among people who use marijuana heavily, even after discontinuing its use for at least 24 hours. Researchers compared 65 "heavy users," who had smoked marijuana a median of 29 of the past 30 days, and 64 "light users," who had smoked a median of 1 of the past 30 days. After a closely monitored 19- to 24-hour period of abstinence from marijuana and other illicit drugs and alcohol, the undergraduates were given several standard tests measuring aspects of attention, memory, and learning. Compared to the light users, heavy marijuana users made more errors and had more difficulty sustaining attention, shifting attention to meet the demands of changes in the environment, and in registering, processing, and using information. These findings suggest that the greater impairment among heavy users is likely due to an alteration of brain activity produced by marijuana.

Any drug of abuse can affect a mother's health during pregnancy, making it a time when expectant mothers should take special care of themselves. Drugs of abuse may interfere with proper nutrition and rest, which can affect good functioning of the immune system. Some studies have found that babies born to mothers who used marijuana during pregnancy were smaller than those born to mothers who did not use the drug. In general, smaller babies are more likely to develop health problems.

A drug is addicting if it causes compulsive, often uncontrollable drug craving, seeking, and use, even in the face of negative health and social consequences. Marijuana meets this criterion. More than 120,000 people enter drug treatment per year for their primary marijuana addiction. In addition, animal studies suggest marijuana causes physical dependence, and some people report withdrawal symptoms.
