There are litterally hundreds of internet sites where you can check the prices.
Here are a couple:
http://finance.yahoo.com/
You can create several portfolios and have the site track the prices for you. Click on my portfolio at the top right of the page.
Here is another:
http://www.marketwatch.com/tools/marketsummary/default.asp?siteid=mktw
Click on mymarketwatch at the top right.
You can also go directly to the NASDAQ and NYSE sites and obtain stock quotes.

Yes, you can use finance.yahoo.com to check stock prices.

Yahoo is great for that. You can search by the stock symbol, or if you don't know that you can also just search using the name. I hope this is what you were looking for.
