you can live without sex, but you can't live without love.
SEX should be the result of wonderful love but nowadays people banalize it too much.
Love makes you sweat in your hands when you see the one you love, your heart goes faster and it seems you have butterflies in your stomach. Sex it seems you have butterflies in other parts, playing around and once it is over, that's all about it. LOVE is something so powerful that you can be away for the person you love for many years and you still think of him and you still love him in such a way as if time never existed and as if you were never broke apart. Sex is good and you feel all that pleasure but if there is no love you will never remember the person anymore or it causes you a feeling of emptiness if you made love just to satisfy your body, not your spirit. Love can be unconditional whilst sex can be selfish. Love can be AGAPE and last forever, no matter if you grow old and feeble but the feeling will be always there.
Love is soul, heart whilst sex is body and mind.......
love is abstract, spiritual, sex is concrete......should not be like this....should be a COMBINATION of both things.
Oh well, I guess I talked to much. Good luck.

I'll do my very best!
Sex is a physical thing. For some people (usually men) sex is just sex. It's used for an orgasm and they have no other feelings of love, care or affection for the other person (often known as a f8ck buddy).
Love is having unconditional love for somebody, caring about them and knowing yo would do anything for them. You miss them terribly when they are away from you for any length of time, and you both visualise spending the rest of your life together.
When you are in love and having sex this can be known as 'love-making' (personally i hate the phrase but since you asked!). This can be feeling great love for someone and having sex trying to pleasure them.
Whe you are in love with somebody and having sex with them, you feel completely different about them than you would do if you wern't in love.
I hope this makes some sort of sense.
Take care xxx

Love is from the heart... it has dept to it. It's not about the physcial and without sex it can still have life, it is forever. Sex is just for the moment... lust.... get in, get out, get on your way. There is no connection between the two people. Love is beautiful and real, sex is just a F8ck.

A lot of people have sex without being in love. Love is a state of being/emotion. Sex is a physical action.

An example of sex without love is prostitution. The prostitute gets a lot of sex, but has absolutely no feeling of love for the john.
An example of love without sex is the feeling that parents have for their children, and the children have for their parents.

I am guessing you want to get opinions on the difference between "Sex" and "Making Love".
Sex usually refers more to the physical engagement in the act of sex. It mostly is about one's physical gratification. Without undermining the value of sex, I think it is a bit of a "selfish" act. It is about "me" and "my satisfaction". The more "sex" we have the lesser we want to have sex. Over time, sexual attraction tends to diminish over time.
"Making love" is more than just physical. It is also an emotional, intellectual connection with the partner. Making love is then one way of expressing your love and passion. The physical gratification is secondary. It also is a bit more selfless. It is about how satisfied your partner is and not as much about how satisfied you are. It's about the other person. The more we "make love" the more closer and intimate we feel with our partner. And over time, the more we make love in a consistent way, the closer and closer we get to that person we make love to.

Sex involves physical activities and feeling and thrill of doing it. It is selfish and you need to satisfy only yourself. Example is masturbation, one nigh stand etc.
The word love has a variety of related but distinct meanings: in addition to romantic love, which is characterized by a mix of emotional and sexual desire, other forms include platonic love, religious love, familial love, true love, and the more casual application of the term to anyone or anything that one considers strongly pleasurable, enjoyable, or desirable, including activities and foods. Love is a term used to describe the act of having intimate feelings towards a person or to care greatly about that person.

Sex is one of the basic needs in human relationship, it is neccessary for our life but only significant when there is love.
The difference is Love is impotant and that makes the sex important as well when there is love ,but sex becomes just like eating food for living when there is no love.
