Yeah - I started getting into Elvis when I was about 16. (I'm 29 now) I used to make fun of him like most people my age, but after I saw him on tv I changed my mind real quick. I found myself screaming in my living room like the girls at the concerts. I was a bit embarassed by that, but I did do it. :) He's a great singer, his movies are mostly pathetic, but that's not the point is it? Jailhouse Rock is my fave, followed by Viva Las Vegas and Roustabout.
I got a chance to go to Graceland a couple years ago. Pretty cool, but also depressing. The tour ends at the graves of him and his family (including twin brother) Elvis' middle name is misspelled on the tombstone though, so he may still walk among us. :)

It's true, he was hot when he was a young man, and very polite. Women of many ages loved him, and it wasn't unusual for women to faint at the sight of him.
Personally, I prefer watching his movies than recordings of his TV appearances. Then I get to hear him talk and watch him interact with people in a more intimate way. Obviously he's playing characters, not himself, but since he IS Elvis, he was usually cast as the good guy.

My step-father is an Elvis fan too. He used to dye his hair black to look like Elvis. My step-father used to drive an old Chevy Impala, and it would be decked out with music designs, fur, and Elvis music blaring.
I like Elvis to, and I like the movies he made.
They don't make singers like they use to.

Yes, a great baritone. Do you like the Beatles song "Lady Madonna", that's Paul doing his Elvis thing. No one has sung like him since.
And no one sings today.

I love Elvis' music too ... but, I don't "love" him. How can a person love someone, that they've never met/dated? *scratches head in confusion*

I love his songs. Pity he died like he did. But I don't love him, love him.
