Try to open the door using you fingers, but that depends on what type of vcr you have xD I've tried that many times these past years, lol.

It is quite easy to open the machine up with a phillips head screwdriver and remove the tape. But make sure you unplug it first! Seriously, you don't want to get a 110 volt blast.

The screws are usually located on the bottom that open the VCR casing.

Good luck

It is jammed. If you force the tape out you will most likely ruin the tape and the vcr.

You can take it apart carefully (unplug first) and remove the tape. However, your VCR is probably slated for the landfill. They are really, really cheap. It is not worth fixing.

In my own experience, this means it's time to operate on your VCR. Yes, you will have to either kill your VCR or throw it in the garbage with the tape still in it. Either way, it's the manufacturers' way of making you spend more money on the same old product.

thats happened to me. first just try holding the door open a couple of times. then, you may need to stick something flat under there to help lead the tape out, like a butter knife or, i just used a BIG paper clip unfolded so that the end made like a big U, and that's what i put under the tape to help it out. good luck.

damn! that happened to my VCR once, i couldn't get my tape out and it got stuck for weeks, then i forced it out (stupid and not advisable) and first, the thingy in the tape got torn and the video machinery inside got broken and out of place.
So what i advise you to do is keep the tape inside and don't force it and take it to a specialist to fix it nice and easy...
good luck! =)
