Those rechargeable batteries get lazy because we leave the computer plugged into the wall all the time. And, it seems the replacement batteries will also be lazy by the time we purchase them out of inventory. I had an electronics repairman friend help me once putting an electrical component called a capacitor across the power leads of the battery. The capacitor then rested on a damp sponge because it gets VERY hot while totally discharging the battery. That rejuventated the battery for a while. It helps to let the computer completely drain the battery from time to time.

More than likely, you would have to get a new battery to help it out. If you do, do NOT keep it plugged into the wall all the time because that just kills battery life. Every once in a while, discharge the battery completely and then recharge it fully.

Use it till it's completely drained. Then charge it until full. Don't recharge it until it's really low.

See link below for your battery type.
