Religious fundamentalism is basically using beliefs and faith to do things that are desructive or negative, ie taking things way too far on the back of a belief.
For example... Muslim extremists who blow up planes and tube trains are religious fundamentalists, and the Christian crusades of the middle ages were also as a result of fundamentalism. However, it is important to note that religious fundamentalists usually do what they do out of the conviction that what they do is right, ie thats what they believe that God wants them to do and they will be rewarded for it- they don't just do things that are evil or wrong for the sake of evil and wrongness.

Fundamentalism is the belief that every word of scripture is true. Fundamentalists favour living according to very strict religious rules and they tend to despise members of other religions, faiths or even sects within their own faith.

Generally interchangeable with Extremeism it describes people who want to impose the "fundamentals" of their beliefs on everyone else. Of course what constitutes the fundamentals varies widely from imposition of Sharia law on everyone on the planet to attacking homosexuals/unmarried couples/family planning clinics/freedom of speech, etc.
It also includes attempting to alter education standards so that it supports their religous views regarding; evolution, marriage, history, politics etc.
Then there's also Sunday trading, taxes, and even imposing which relion you observe under threat of fines or physical torture.
