I mean something with strings, brass, wind, chorus, etc. but not written a long time ago. Something more recent, and that doesn't sound like classical. Like a movie soundtrack. What would it be called?

Symphonic metal-like Nightwish,they're music also has a tent of movie soundtracks.It's beautiful...It's like symphonic rock-with a sopran as for the voice,a choir(chorus),an electric guitar,a bass,a synthetizor(electric orgue),and of course drums and percussions.I recommand Nightwish to everyone,but whatever...

Music from a movie is called a 'score'.
Strings that are not 'a long time ago' classical are usually just called 'orchestration'.

maybe modern classical if it's in a typical orchestral style, or i suppose contemporary is a fairly decent catch-all term.
