To our MEDIA---how does it feel being used as a pawn by terrorists???

Question

You'd think that our wonderful media outlets here would at least have enough awareness of the fact that they're being used by the radical elements of the world to further their jihadic causes against us.
So I ask of journalists...DO ANY OF YOU EVEN CARE?????
I somehow doubt WWII would have gone as well for us if today's media was around trying to undermine our every move.

PS to Kent---think about your OWN responsibilities...FREE PRESS becomes a bit meaningless if that same free press successfully enables our enemies into creating a new world WITHOUT THE FREE PRESS YOU HAVE NOW.

Hitler took over the GERMAN press...not the entire free world's! So where was that free press while Hitler was busy building up the German armed forces??????

Thanks Conway. Note how the detractors just won't acknowledge the fact that our enemies are using them....and they could care less, since more drama makes them more money.

PS to RKO-- One of the funniest things about some of the answers I'm getting is that I never used the phrase LIBERAL media or CONSERVATIVE media in the original question. Bt every detractor has viewed this as an attack of LEFT-WING media!!!

I'm not in the media circle of elite but I do appreciate your courage to ask them , I think I like this view of front line talk much better than lots of other front lines we have been shown. I do hope someone gives your Q. notice, I have.

Why do you have such a problem with the TRUTH? I have news for you -- the "media" isn't trying to undermine anything, they're just reporting the FACTS. Because you don't like those facts, you apparently think they are purposely trying to be against you and your beliefs...wrong.
The media doesn't care about you one way or the other, but they DO care about reporting FACT. All except Fox news, of course.
The "good old days" when the media could be censored by the government under the guise of "national security" are long gone, and it's a good thing. An electorate can only make good decisions when it knows the whole story, not just one side of it.

Do you at least have enough awareness of the facts that your feelings are being manipulated by government officials who try to control what you know and think? You should be down on your knees thanking the media for reporting all of the facts, and not just what this secretive administration wants you to know...

What was the first thing that the Third Reich did in Germany when in came into power? It took over the press.

It is amazing that the majority of german citizens were unaware of the Concentration Camps. How was that possible? NO FREE PRESS.

It is entirely possible that if there were a free press in Germany during the 1930s, there would have been no Holocaust, there may not have been a Second World War, and quite possibly Hitler may have never retained power.

Today's conservative-biased media is not only being used by the terrorists: it's also being used by the federal government. The 'fourth estate' no longer exists because media conglomerates are run by bean counters who only care about the bottom line.
Accuracy, objectivity, integrity, fairness, completeness, truth, honesty, in-depth investigation, and balance are not things in which today's media deals. Only PROFIT.
The Fourth Estate used to be the watchdog over government, and the servant of the American people. Today it simply reads the government press releases, or takes down whatever Tony Snow says, and 'reports' it as 'news'. If the Watergate break-ins were to occur today, there would be no Woodward or Bernstein to sniff out the crimes and bring a tyrannical administration to its knees. No, the media doesn't care....all it cares about is that its corporate executives get juicy, 'fat cat' salaries and bonuses and the company's shareholders see a handsome profit every quarter. -RKO-

Havent you heard the Media? There ARE no terrorists, except for American Conservatives. The whole thing was made up as an excuse to steal middle east oil!! That's why the price of gasoline has more than doubled in the past four years.

Thats a great question, and 'pawn' is a great description.

WW2 would not have been won if the media had been as involved as it is today. War is ugly, people get killed, even innocent people, but sometimes the means justify the ends.

WW2 is an example of this.

Vietnam would have taken up about alot less pages in our history books if reporters hadn't been there, if our soldiers would have been aloud to truly go to war, lives would have been saved.
