and about 3ft long. I live near the airforce live bombing range and it has "200lb freefall weapon" stencilled on the side. Ive smacked it with the shovel a few times and it really sounds hollow. Any thoughts how to have a few laughs with it ?

holy crap! its a bomb! it has explosives in it, but might have a faulty detonator! dont smack it again, and get it away from your house! ive heard that you can call a local military base and let them know what you have, if its an empty shell, theyll let you keep it, if it has explosives in it, or is radio active, theyll dispose of it properly. a few words about radioactivity: radio activity is a strange thing, contary to popular belief, it isnt waves that flow through the air, its actually quite heavy, and will sink into anything its sitting on. this means that the dirt you found it in could be very dangerous. make sure you wash it off your skin, and dont track the dust into your house. the longer radio active dust sits on your skin, the more in danger you are. if the bomb was found in a dusty area, back fill the hole you dug with dirt til you have a mound two feet high and two feet round the hole. water this well, and stay away from it!

For one thing smacking it with a shovel was a seriously bad idea. Another thing...call someone who can do something about it. Whether it is a bomb or not the airforce needs to know about it.

if you want to keep hitting it fineyou cant be sure how old that is . I would n't think you would want to have fun with it. Could be a dud then it may not be. Call the bomb squad in

If it has 4 fins and goes KERRANG when you hit it then it's probably a Turtle. If it was a bomb it would have blown you the **** up!

get a cutting torch and cut it open to see whats in side. smugglers used to hide diamonds in them.
