NO! Ibuprophin and midol will NOT help! They'll make it worse! Eat bread, or saltines or anything else that will absorb any extra stomache acid. Wait a little bit, if that doesn't help, dring some sprite or other pop (no caffine) Stay away from dairy till it's gone!!! FEEL BETTER!!!

Pepto bismol is the best otc med for nausea, Ibuprofen and/or midol is more likely to cause nausea if you take it. Try diet sprite and soda crackers--old remedy but it does help
also Tums or Rolaids often help

A few ideas:
Something carbonated might help, seltzer, club soda, Perrier or ginger ale. Even lemon lime soda.
Suck on some ice cubes.
Camomile tea helps calm an upset stomach.
Crystalized ginger is handy to have. You can buy it at a health food store or in the spice section at the grocery.
It works for motion sickness, too.

you could take pepto or mylanta. there are even a few prescription medications that are used for nausea ( zofran). if it is persistant i would suggest talking to a doctor about gettin one of those. but if you get it just a few times a year you should go buy some of the over the counter types.

If you are looking for an Alternative medication, try ginger or peppermint. I suggest making a tea of a combination of both. You can get these at any Health Food Store.
I think both of the medication you mentioned would make it worse.
