GOOD QUESTION!
I agree! The tabloids just "egg on" the negativity that exist in Hollywood. They never have anything positive to say...just negative! They're never bringing up the positive side in these couples' relationships. It's always about what they could or should be doing. They are always so judgmental of what these celebrities decide to do. IT'S THEIR LIVES, LET THEM LIVE! IF WHATEVER THEY ARE DOING THEY WANT TO DO, LET THEM DO IT!
I want to know what's WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE WHO ARE SOOO OBESSED WITH CELEBRITIES! They have nothing else to live for! That's pathetic! If they aren't discussing celebrity lives they aren't about anything else! That's sad!

Yes tabloids make like everything worse. People want to see the worst in others sometimes and the tabloids exploit that. Divorce is not pleasant so we wanna see celebrities break down and/or get nasty. It makes for good TV/ratings.

First of all if you are so unfortunate that you read them, never believe anything in a tabloid. Second, I could care less about celebrity lives. I do think it is intrusive for the media to hound them the way they do.

Yes, the tabloids exaggerate - a lot. That's how they do business. l personally think that celebrities should be given their privacy. They are not 100% in front of the camera, so let them live their own "real" lives.

i definitely think the tabloids make things worse. i don't really care what the celebs are doing because it's none of my business. people only care about it because they have nothing important to do. but the celebs chose to be in the spotlight so they have to live with it. that doesn't mean it's right though

yup. At one moment a couple can be the happiest on the planet and then as soon as there in the spot light all hell breaks loose and everybody is woundering how it went sour so quickly.

most Americans need to relate to something that is unattainable and fantasy like to feel better about the modest, non-challenging lives they live day in and day out.
the celebrity lifestyle is so stereotypically far-fetched that it's not threatening, and marrige is familiar and common and people can say things like , "wow i can't believe that famous person would do that, i would be so mad at blahblah,..." and feel better about themselves and their lives as they never tried to achieve their dreams and therefore never failed.
