It seems whenever 9:11am or 9:11pm rolls around, I happen to glance at the clock. I'd say at least 10 times a week. It's been going on for a few years now. I don't think it has anything to do 9-11 or the WTC, etc. I thought that maybe that's when a commercial would come on if I were watching TV, and I was checking the time, but it's also happened to me in the car, at other people's houses, on the computer,etc.. I've also noticed that lately (in the past few months) I'll see 3:11, or 6:11, but no other repeating numbers. Just this 11 thing. Anybody else ever experience anything like this?

Okay, it's not "Why do I see 9:11 all the time... it's "Why do I tend to look at the clock at 9:11??" It's not accosiated with 9-11 or the WTC. Other people see 12:34 a lot. Also, there are only 2 possible times a day that anyone can see any specific time. I don't look at the clock much throughout the day, and when I do, I would remember any other repeating numbers.

there are little tiny chips in your head that the government put there. every time its 911 you're focused on a clock. then you start thinking of 911 again and being patriotic. The government did 911 themselves just to do that.
No seriously I'm not crazy, you just remember it more when it's 911. Like when it's 1117 I think "he it's my birthday" becuase my birthday is 11/17. No big.

I dont think it means anything exactly but i know what you mean and it is definitely strange. I went through phase where i noticed the time 12:34 all the time...i got to the point where i would go to bed at, say, 9:30 and i'd wake up at exactly 12:34. There would be days when the ONLY time i would look at the clock would be 12:34am and 12:34pm. Like i said, i dont think there is any significance, but i did find it fascinating how linked-up to time the mind can become. Also, i had a girlfriend who experienced a similar phenomena with the number 222. I realize the signifigance of the numbers 911 but ultimately it is just the set of numbers you have, for whatever reason, chosen to fixate upon...i dont think there is any cause for alarm.

you mind is basically just fixating on these numbers. You may look at the clock 100 times a day but because of you fication on these numbers your brain only chooses to remember the times you see these familiar numbers. Take note as to how often you look at the clock and judge it to how often you actually see 911, 611,311. The more you focus on finding these times the more your brain will only notice/remember those.
Its funny cause i do the same thing, i notice 911 all the time, but as i pay attentinon to how often i glance at the clock, its no more uncommon then finding 515,615,915.
the americain event of 911 im sure plays little role in it. If you chose the time the atomic bomb landed in japan or that date you had your first sexual experiane then youd find those times. Its just a number you choose to notice more. If you, in a general sence, say the twin towers is why you notice then everyone would notice 911 not all of the other numbers we are seeing. I chosse 911 subliminally because i hate ambulances and the horrific accidents that happen to people.
But hey, maybe 911 bothered you so much or you read so much news about "911" that it just sticks and thats what you notice while glacing at the clock whereas you blow off all other numbers that arnt related to 911

My repeating number tends to be 14. I look at the clock at 8:14 and 11:14 a lot, and sometimes at 3:14 or 1:14. Weird. I don't know why either.

This is an example of the Availability Heuristic duping you into believing that you see 9:11 more often than any other time on any clock you were looking at. The reason why you can recall seeing 9:11 more often than other times is due to the fact that the horrific events which took place on 9/11 are still imprinted in our minds everyday.
However, I don't believe you are seeing 9:11 anymore than any other time of the day when you look at the clock. Basically, you're mind is playing tricks on you.

For what ever reaosn your mind is just focussed on on those numbers. I am pretty sure you look at the clock plenty more times during the week but your mind just remembers the 11's and ignores the others

You are right guitarman. It only seems like you look at the clock more at that specific time becuase you are registering it.

don't worry... the same **** with me. almost every day i happen to look at the clock at 10:08, more often at 22:08, which seems even worse 'cause it's my date of birth, 22, August.

Search 11:11 on the web. Don't necessarily buy into it myself but there is a "theory" out there among the conspiracy minded.

yep. mine's 11:16, which, coincidentally, is also my birth-date. i don't think i seek out clocks around that time, but i do seem to catch it an awful lot.
