In Argentina, it's rude, apparently, to pour wine from a bottle with your left hand. And pouring 'backhandedly' is said to indicate hostility. Is this true? If so, how does it work? Do you deliberately pour a bottle backwards to annoy someone? Is this true just in Argentina or elsewhere in Latin America too?

I believe it's just Argentina. Well, actually it's true in Russia, too.

"Never pour wine by grapsing the neck of the bottle with the hand and rotating the hand backward so that the palm turns upward. Always pour wine with the right hand, never the left hand"
