it ends up in alot of places. skid marks on the road, or marks on the curb but mostly as dust particles in the air.

This is an overlooked issue on the public polution agenda but one that is being addressed by the EPA and the tire industry.
Just in Texas there are over 14 million cars shedding rubber everyday that all ends up in our air and on our roads to be carried into our water table by run off.
Makes you think.

It gets vaporised by the friction between car and road.
