I have a bunch of songs I've written over the past couple of years, but no tune put to them. Anyone have any tips for as to how I can go about doing that? Preferably for the guitar. Want to do something with what I've written and make something out of it.

Put an ad in your local paper for a collaborator. There's many peeps out there who can put music to your lyrics you just gotta find the one person you can meld with ;-)

GO TO YAHOO OR GOOGLE SEARCH ENGINES AND TYPE GUITAR INSTRUMENTAL SONGS.LISTEN TO THE SONGS AND YOU BETTER GET THE LYRICS ALONG WITH THEM TO MAKE YOU PRACTICE ON YOUR OWN GUITAR.MIX A FEW OF THE SONGS AND YOU CAN GET TUNES FOR YOUR SONGS.ALL THE BEST.:-)
