The simplest way to tell real fur from fake is to blow on it. Real fur will part to show a circle of skin, fake fur will either not part at all or will part in a line following the weave of the cloth that it is attached to.

Hmmm maybe. Personally I'd never wear anything made of fur - fake or real. I think it looks awful. I saw a programme about the 'production' of real fur and it turned my stomach. I can't bear to see anybody wearing fur. I know fake fur is ethically ok but it does elude to the real fur industry. I guess if someone saw you wearing your fur hat they might think 'oh that's nice' and then buy a real fur one... that's the only situation i can think in which fake fur promotes real fur.

pet any animal...then go shopping...real fur does not have a knited backing, & feels & look MUCH better than fake. Fake also costs a LOT less than real.

PS, what are your shoes made of... You play soccer or football??

Smell it. Real fur smells of animals (or at least slightly leathery). Fake fur smells of plastic.
