My brother and sister are 17 and 15 they get $20 a week and $15 gas money for school. They also have the option of getting obs if they want more. My 15 year old sister always has money cus she don't go places. My 17 year old brother can get through a movie, cell phone minutes, and going out to eat on $20.
It also depends on where you live. We live in hickville and gas is like $2.14 a gallon and a movie is like $7.00.
Don't give enough t let them get everything they want. At 16 a job is very easy to get and will teach responsiblity and the task of managing your own money.
Good Luck!!

Im 16. I get 5 bucks every two weeks if I clean the two bathrooms, keep the dishes washed. Do my moms laundry and dont get in trouble at school. Thats 10 bucks a month, which is more then my other siblings get I guess...My mom buys them stuff, but I just want money.
This is new and recent. We never got allowance before. We just did the chores because we were told to do them...
I really like being able to get money and all, plus I get some money from my older brother and cousin if I do things for them.
I dont have a job. My parents dont want me to have one.

9 on weeknights. eleven on weekends. that's what I say; evaluate how long video clips are. a minimum of two and a a million/2 hour. assume the family individuals individuals could be complete with dinner at 7:30, according to probability a sprint after. Then sparkling up, some talk time... so the action picture gets began in all probability around 9. eleven infrequently factors them sufficient time to exhibit screen a action picture. i'm waiting to remember being sixteen and in relatively contemporary situations. I honestly have been given into no worry and HATED the eleven o'clock curfew because of the certainty all individuals else substitute into allowed out lots later. yet 10 would desire to be truthfully depressing.

I dont get an allowance and I am 13, I work for my money (raking leave, Ugh! And other chores which sometimes I find fun!) and then save it up. If they are 16 they should be old enough for them to get a job.

I don't believe in giving a teenager that age an allowance.
A young adult that age is old enough to get a part-time job after school and on weekends.
Provideing an allowance for one that age only contributes to them
growing up with the mentality that everything should be handed to them on a silver platter.

If there are chores involved then $20 a week, that's what I got for doing the dishes, vacuuming, and cleaning the doggy poo in the yard.Of course I didn't have a car so you may want to add more chores and more money for gas.

That would depend on the chores. No chores? No allowance.
