My friend has a very dangerous lifestyle of meeting guys off of the internet and sleeping with them on the first or second date. How do I let her know that its very unhealthy and dangerous without her taking offense??

WOW... My friend does this too! Alot. She meets them on myspace, talks to them for a few days on the phone and on myspace and then HOOKS UP with them the first night she meets them. Its her lifestyle and I have no desire to judge her or anything. So I dont say anything. She uses condoms and even tho I KNOW its not healthy and is dangerous. Its NOT my decision. So I suggest not saying anything. Or if you choose to, just simply say that YOU could never do that, because you've heard so many horror stories about people getting raped when meeting people online. Explain to her YOUR PERSONAL reasons why you would never do it. Good luck

Wow, that's very dangerous!

You need to sit her down and explain that you're worrying about her. That you feel that what she's doing is unhealthy and dangerous. Don't use "You are" statements, use "I feel" statements.

She's probably going to get angry with you, but you need to bring your fears into the open for her safety's sake.

You should try to educate her about what can go wrong. Show her some articles of things that have gone wrong. Try to get her to meet them in a public space. Make sure she is using protection. It sounds like she might have a low self esteem. She might need to talk to a therapist. It might be something that happened in the past.

I don't think you can tell her without her taking offense. What are you going to say, "No offense, but you being such a slut is a very dangerous life style."

explain what you think and feel about the situation truly by your heart.Try to explain that you want her favour .sweet speech can bring a snake out of its inn ;)
