I have been trying to conceive for about a year and half (just recently gotten serious about it). When my husband ejactulates, it seems as if most of it spills out. It doesn't matter what position. When I do finally get up more comes out. I noticed this before but am now more concerned than ever, because I'm seriously trying to conceive, and getting older. My concern is, how can I get pregnant if the semen isn't staying inside? What can I do to resolve this? I don't know if there is a blockage or not. The olny thing that I am aware of is the polyp I have; which will be removed next week. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi there honey. I will do my best to answer your question. It is true that some of the ejaculate will run back out after your husband withdraws but you need to remember that it only takes one sperm out of all the thousands that are released.
Still, if you have been trying for awhile there are some things that you can do that will help put the odds in your favor a bit more.
When you make love try putting a rather firm pillow under your hips. This will assure that when your husband ejaculates, things are in the optimal spot. It is possible that your cervix is deeper inside the vagina than is typical. The other thing you should do is this, do not get up after you make love. Stay in that position with the pillow under your hips for about 30 minutes. That gives the sperm plenty of time to be where they need to be and you will make sure that "nothing is going to waste".
At this point I would not try anything more drastic than these simple steps. If however, after 3 or 4 months, if this does not do the trick, you might want to try one of those kits that help you to pinpoint when you are most fertile. That is something that you can figure out right now, especially if your periods are pretty regular. As you may know, you will ovulate half way between your last period and the one you are expecting. The day before you ovulate and the day that you actually ovulate are your very best days.
If I can be of any more help feel free to write to me and I will certainly write back to you.
Take care and enjoy making that little baby!
Blessings

When you go to get the polyp removed, mention it to the doc. They may be able to take a look and put your mind at ease.

Just as everyone else has said... don't get up. Elevate yourself and wait. Read a magazine. Have your hubby bring you a wet washcloth to clean up what you can and then place the washcloth b/w ur legs when you stand to keep it clean. After 20-30 minutes several sperm should have been able to swim their way up your cervix. HTH

Have sex in the missionary position. When your partner ejaculates, have him thrust in as deep as possible. Immediately afterwards, put a pillow under your bum, and stay that way for 30 minutes.

not all of it is coming out of you, second try putting a pillow under your butt during sex and then afterwards stay in bed with that pillow under your butt as long as you can
