Hi! I am not sure I am understanding your question. Did she have a period on October 22nd or did she miss her period? If she missed her period, then there is a great possibility of her actually being pregnant. Urine pregnancy test are 98% accurate if used as soon as 1 day after your missed period. Some claim to be able to tell as soon as a few days before your period is due. If she had a period on October 22nd then there are two things. The first is if she took a pregnancy test and it was positive, maybe the period she had was not an actual period, but what is called implantation, or breakthrough, bleeding. This happens sometimes when a fertilized egg implants itself into the uterus and this sometimes causes the bleeding. This usually happens around the time you expect your period, but it usually lighter than a normal period. Second, maybe your cousin's friend should have a doctor do a blood test in a couple of days to see if there may have been something wrong with the hpt. Hopes this helps some.

Hi, Depending on here hormone levels, she could tell with a pregnancy test as early as five days before here next period. Some people take a little longer. With my pregnancy now. I tested 5 days early and got negative then i tested 5 days after and was positive. It just depends on their body. Also tell her to take a test in the morning when she wakes up. Why do you think she is lying? Is she very young? JUst sounds like it.

Actually, you can tell that you're pregnant as soon as the first day of your missed period, and the "First Response" test, can tell you 5 days before your missed period. Whether you get a positive reading or not depends on how high the hcg is in your urine. So, she might be lieing, but I doubt it, and why would she lie anyhow?

She is probably not lying. Some of the new pregnancy tests claim that they are accurate as soon as the day you miss your period. And, if she happened to have had a blood test they can be accurate even before you have missed your period.
You have no way of knowing whether or not she is telling the truth but she certainly could be.
Take care.

A doctor's office can certainly tell that soon and at home pregnancy tests are now made to give results as soon as the first day after your last missed period.

You can actually tell that soon... if her period is eight days late than she could be around 4 weeks pregnant and with these new tests that they have you can actually tell if you're pregnant before your missed period.

Pregnancy can be detected as early as seven to 15 days after unprotected vaginal intercourse. Pregnancy doesn't start the day that partners have intercourse — it can take up to six days after intercourse for the sperm and egg to join and form a fertilized egg. Then, it can take six to 10 days for the fertilized egg to completely implant itself in the lining of the uterus. Pregnancy begins when implantation is complete and the hormones to support pregnancy are released.

She may not be lying. You can get a positive sometimes as early as 2 weeks before your normal period.
It all depends on how much of the pregnancy hormone is actually in your urine.
