how many manga books (not novel) for full metal was made? can i but them complete in london,uk (not usa)

This manga is still in ongoing serialization. Based on things Hiromu Arakawa has said it will likely run 18-20 volumes. Volume 10 just came out in the US.
You should be able to buy them easily in England. Try Amazon.co.uk if none of your local brick stores has them.

I don't know, but you can check out fullmetal_alchemist.com (the English version of the Japanese site) it's where I get all of my information.
If you can't find out there, it has lots of links to other sites that will get you what you need.
