It's been cold here lately. The temp inside the house will get to about 58-62 degrees overnight or during the day if the heater is not on. Is it best to just turn the heater on at night and in the mornings or leave it on at about 62-65 degrees all the time? What's most energy efficient? It takes about 1 hr to heat from 58-69.

more efficient to leave it on with your thermostat set at the lowest temp that you can stand. that way it cycles less and uses less energy.

i just leave my heater on at a certain temp all the time. my heater goes on by itself to maintain that certain temp in the house. once the temp is reached, the heater goes off.

If you leave the house turn the heat down or off. IF you get cold turn it up.

it's really a personal preference. I personally couldn't stand it that cold inside. Our thermostat stays at 72 year round.
