I know several men with the black chocolate. I don't think they're girly in general, but the cherry might be a little more feminine than the black or mint.

My brother has a Chocolate, but he hates it-not because it's girly, but because it's way too sensitive and the touch buttons don't work right most of the time.

I was told by a person who actually works for Verizon recently, that they are annoying and hard to use. They jump, and are sensitive like an IPOD which is tolerable if it's an MP3 Player alone but it could get frustrating if it happens as a phone as well.
He said he was allowed to carry one and had the option to own it half price and turned it down and gave it back...
