This isn't your fault. Your mother should have protected her credit card information better. You're doing her a favor. Teaching her a valuable life lesson. She should know to trust no one.

If that doesn't keep you from doing a couple of years in jail, quickly check yourself into a Twelve Step program for Shoppers Anonymous and hope you get a liberal judge who will place you on unsupervised probation when you get out of the program.

Wait - I'm getting a message from the beyond. It's a little fuzzy, let me look into my crystal ball. Oh, could this be an attempt at spam? Are you getting paid everytime someone clicks on those three links you provided? Yes, the vision is getting clearer. Spam it is.

I would tell her right away before she reports it.
Once authorities get involved, it is harder to fix.

Also be prepared to pay her back for whatever you spent.
If you take responsibility for that, as well as apologizing and promising not to do this again, that would help. If you have an addiction to these types of sites, which is not uncommon,
please seek counseling to make sure it is not a recurring problem.

The fact that you did this in secret and tried to hide it indicates you might have a problem that needs to be addressed.

Make a commitment to understand why this happened and to change that behavior or thought pattern. Otherwise, it could just as easily happen again. Take this as a warning and fix it.

That is considered a crime here in US. I would go talk to your mom and tell her the truth if I were you. Hopefully your mom will tell the bank that those charges were not authorized and that she is protected under the credit card policy.

If when youused the credit card you put your name some where on the order form or even your mailing address ....of course she will.
It will also teach you for the future not to use things that are not yours

the bank will only tell your mom that someone is using it without permission though internet.. but if she decided to investigate further, then she could possibly trace that it was you that is using her credit card.
