OK a lot of peopl have said some scary things on here.
The truth is that lots of people don't even know they are pregnant until 3 months have gone. It is good of you to work on being healthy.
But, it is irresponsible that you have not been seen by a doctor yet. The baby grow the most during the first three months. That is when the brain and spine develops. Your doctor will give you prenatal vitamins and this just ensures that you and the baby will get enough nutrients. Usually the doctor doesn't do anything else at this time. Some doctors will get an ultrasound to rule out multiples though.
I am sure that everything is fine with the baby. Miscarriages are common, but not most common. And even if you or family may have a history of miscarriages, many times the doctor can prevent certain reasons for miscarriages.
Please do everyone a favor and get your appointment with the doctor. You need prenatal vitamins. Otherwise you are just hurting yourself... and possible the baby.

No. Women used to do it all the time without doctors or vitamins, and if you're about 3 months, you're almost into the second trimester, which is when the risk of miscarriage decreases greatly, not 100% but greatly.
I would however get to a doctore as soon as you possibly can, you should have an ultrasound soon to make sure everything is developing properly, plus, there are also some pre-natal tests that should be done.
This will all help for you to have a happy healthy baby, and pregnancy :)

Okay, the reason most modern women are told to take vitamins is because modern women eat junk food and mostly non-nutritious food. You won't have a miscarriage because you weren't taking vitamins. Think about it this way: women have been having babies for millions of years without doctors and prenantal vitamins (if you follow that the evolutionary branch of man broke off about 8 million years ago). Prenantal vitamins? Recent invention. Doctors taking over from midwives and turning the natural event of giving birth into a "medical procedure" requiring machines and sensors and all that stuff? Last century. Your mother probably didn't take prenatal vitamins, so as long as you eat right and take care of yourself normally (you shouldn't worry about eating much more than you usually do), you will be fine.
Just get some prenatal vitamins if you're worried and definitely see your primary care physician so you can be referred to an obstetrician and start taking them today.
You're not going to miscarry unless there is a serious problem with the fetus or your own body (severe uterine injury, VERY severe illness, and the like). The bonus of checking in with your doctor is to get an idea of the stages of your fetus's development.

Sweetie, you have no worries. It's great that you're getting past your first tri-mester b/c doctors say that is the most common for miscarriages. I'm 11 weeks pregnant, and I take my vitamins all the time. I do it for the Folic Acid that we have a lack of getting from a day to day basis...and that's what's really good for the baby. Don't be scared to go to the doctor!! I was to, and he made me feel so comfortable. I chose a doctor that 2 of my pregnant friends recommended. Don't worry either, they've been dealing with women and preggies for a long long time, so it's nothing new to them. You just want to get in there b/c they are going to want to soon listen for the babies heart beat, and make sure everything is good in that department, and then 2 months from now you will get to see the baby!!! I got to see mine early b/c I didn't know how far along I was, so good luck!!! :) And make an appointment today!

If you haven't had any bleeding (and maybe even if you have) you're probably fine. Usually you will have some symptoms of a miscarriage if you're having one. Most doctors don't see patients in the first part of pregnancy, and prenatal vitamins are a precaution, not an absolute necessity. After all, people gave birth to healthy babies for centuries without them. Of course some babies were born with problems because of it, but now that salt has iodine, milk has vitamin D, and grains and cereals have folate, your chances of having a healthy baby without taking vitamins are very good. I know it's hard not to worry, but you're probably fine. Going to a doctor in the first three months does not increase your chances for a healthy pregnancy unless you have some sort of health problem like diabetes or a clotting disorder.

My doctor didn't want to see me till 12 weeks along (which is three months.) It's a good idea to be taking vitamins or go to your local vitamin store and buy prenatals, but I wouldn't worry about miscarriage because you haven't seen the doctor or taken pills. It would be a good idea to see your doctor soon (it sounds like you are anyway) but there are plenty of people who don't realize they are pregnant till later on and are fine. You have no better chance of having a miscarriage then someone who has been going to the doctor and taking prenatals. Hope that helps :)

Well the Dr. won't usually see you until you are atleast 10 weeks. But you should definately get in there ASAP.You can always start taking pills now. I am not sure about the miscarriage, but it is a possibilty. Have you had any serious cramping, bleeding? If not it is unlikely, but still possible like I said. It sounds like you are pretty healthy so I wouldn't worry too much. Remember you need to get into that Dr. Office for the sake of your baby. You will probably get good news! But if not wouldn't you want to know?
Hope this helps.

You'll be fine. I didn't see a doctor until i was almost 4 months pregnant. If you're worried about vitamins, take some flintstone vitamins to supplement until you get the prenatals, but you may prefer to take the flintstones over the prenatals. Just schedule a doctor appointment. Everything will be fine. Don't worry. Congrats and good luck!

no, you are fine...mother were having children long before prenatal vitamins and monthly appt with doctors...if your lifestyle is as you say it is there's nothing wrong. You just need to start going now, things are gonna get tougher and doctors are the only ones that can give proper advice and care to a pregnant lady.He won't give you bad news. He'll probably send you for an ultrasound right away!! you are gonna see your baby, hear and see his heartbeat. It's gonna be great.Just go from now on. Good luck honey.

You are not going to have a miscarriage just because you have'nt been to the dr yet.
Alot of Dr. don't see you untill your 8-10 weeks preggie.
You should begin taking a multi- vitamin. And begin seeing a ob/gyn or a lisened midwife for your pre-nantal care.
midwife are great because they are more friendly and give you more time at appt. about 40 min. -1 hour compaired to 5-15 with an ob/gyn.
