I am thinking between Linksys (which is something I like) vs D-Link and NetGear (I never owned these brands before.
Which do you prefer or think is best? and worth the money?

I'd go for the D-Link. Never had a problem with a D-Link router.
Linksys routers come with a ton of bugs and flat out won't work with some network cards.
Check out some forums and bask in the afterglow of Linksys customer dissatisfaction. Okay I'm exaggerating, but my point still stands.
Never owned a Netgear router, so... i dunno.

Still, D-Link

I personally prefer Linksys and offer this to all of my home network clients and have never had problems in the 5 years I have used it. I have never tried the other either so I dont know. I do know other people that have DLink or Netgear and like them. It doesnt really matter which one, they will all provide WiFi and it could be any brand at any time that gives someone problems.

I have used both and prefer the D-link. The setup and configuration was easier and the range seems to broadcast farther than either if the Linksys I owned.
