I feel so sorry for you. Have tried to stop a couple of times. I found eating bubblegum helped me. Whenever i am on a plane to SA i have one of those siggy gums in the corner of my mouth, the trip lasts 24 hours and i never feel like a smoke. It is only when i am home that it kills me. Good luck to you. Try eating some toffees as well.

However hard you fancy one ,DONT¡ if you get through that first day and night ,i promise it will be that little bit easier the next day get through the next 24 hrs and easier still, after 7 days you are in control ,but dont get blaise, its not over you might have the odd strong temptation, like in the pub ,or with smoking friends, but bit by bit (will power all the way) you will crack it ,and believe me there are fewer greater satisfactions,it will change your life in more ways than would believe at the moment, trust me.
Good luck ¡

Keep up the good work and condition your mind not to need a ciggy. Every time you fancy one, replace it with something else you really like. You'll get through it.

Good luck. :-)

Read Allen Carr's book called "Easyway to Quit Smoking" (or similar). Basically, his approach is to remove your desire to smoke, rather than leave you (as you are currently feeling) that you are missing out on something. The man's a genius.

Stop talking/thinking about it for a start!

Either chew some gum or brush your teeth. Usually works with me.

3 days until your body is free from nictoine, the rest of your life not to smoke again.

Keep chatting to random people on the internet ;)
I find that knitting is good as it keeps the hands busy (though in my case it wasn't to avoid cigarettes, but to help dieting!)
