A magnificent business man. Took a huge payday at the end of his career, thanks to a club who think they can buy success. Aren't they gonna be upset when united win without buying every fashionable player in the world.

One of the World's greatest ever players. Although maybe the EPL isn't his thing. He looks off the pace (compared with the last few years in Italy) and the English game is very frantic...not because it is the best league in the world (That's in Spain and always has been).
Let's face it, not many players have moved successfully from Serie A to the EPL without a glitch.
Shevchenko needs time (like Henry got) to work himself into a pattern, once he's there, he'll be a 30 goal a season man. Although he may be 35 by that stage!!

I think Sheva is one of the greatest strikers in the world game, but he has been hoodwinked by Mourinho into making possibly the worst move of his career playing for a wee diddy club like Chelsea!
One thing for sure is Lampard is not Kaká. Kaká is a creative player with the vision required to see Sheva's runs. Lampard can't see what's going on ten yards in front of his face so he just blooters it and hopes for the best. Is it any wonder why Sheva is getting nostalgic about returning to Milan?

I think he shall surely catch up and start scoring goals. His slow start might be attributed to the different style of playing in the premiership( I think Chelsea have a similar game to AC Milan where he came from). Just remember Henri, he scored just two goals in the first twelve games when he came from Juventus.
Shevchenko has scored 3 in 13 games so far. (not bad, £10 million a goal, Chelsea got him for 30 million right?).

Agreed with Aracinda and Colliedud---Sheva belongs to Milan and Not to stupid clubs like Chelsea!!
And the fact that he is not able to score is because Lampard(who plays center midfield) same as Kaka has none of Kaka 's talent!!
Sheva has every right to feel nostalgic about Milan!!
He was swayed by money!!
Chelsea destroyed a player;s carrer just for the glory that it has one of the world;s greatest stikers in the team!!

Sheva,,,, being a HUGE AC Milan supportor, I like Shevchenko.
I know he has falling off his game in the EPL. He is CLEARLY one of the world finest strikers. I was not surprised he left Milan for an English club, his wife has a hand in that.
I think he was tranfer again to a La Liga team, or to another English club (Tot, Ars, or maybe even Liverpool if that can fit the bill)
Forza Milano!!!!

Chelsea could have saved a lot of time, and just flushed the £30 million they paid for him down the toilet. Complete waste of space, and Mourinho simply has no idea how to play him most effectively. You dont just play him up front and expect him to score.
At Milan, he had all his goals set up for him by the brilliant Kaka, but Lampard, who does the same job at Chelsea, is not in Kaka's class and cannot see Shevchenko's runs.

That's a lot of misspent money. If Chelsea really felt like giving 30 million pounds to charity, they could have provided clean water to millions of Africans.
Serviously, with Shevchenko in the lineup, Chelsea are in essence playing a man down. He shows little of his former finesse and practically no creativity. The earlier poster is right: the midfield creativity at AC Milan provided him with more than enough service. At Chelsea, he has to create some of his own chances, and it looks as though he's completely lost the plot.

Give the guy time to adjust. Remember last season how long it took Droggy & Essien to adjust? Look at them now! He'll come up with the goods - don't worry. After the rejects we've had previous - Mutu, Bogarde, Sutton & Fleck - i wouldn't start panicking yet.
