if u are wearing fake easrings u should not wear them for more than 2 days that is happening bcuz ur ear cant handle the earing so take it out fr a couple of days then put it back on u should be ok after that u can go to pierceing pagoda at ur mall if they have one don t worry it doesn t hurt that much i mean from one to ten it would be a 4 maybe but it also depends on ur pain tolarance

Its probably the fact that the fake earrings are cheap metal and they are too tight causing pressure and irritation in the area.

Stop using them and I'm sure you'll see improvement.

Also, upper ear cartilage prices will vary from shop to shop. On average expect to pay $40-60 USD and you should tip your piercer. The best places to go to have this done are local piercing and tattoo parlors and have a professional piercer do this for you. If you do not know where one is, you can usually find one via phone book, yellow pages and Google.

As far as pain goes, everyone is different and feels pain differently. Some people hardly flinch, other people come close to crying. Generally, cartilage piercings hurt, the tissue is thick, but the piercing itself is done and over with quickly, so its tolerable. Often most of the pain comes from the following days when your ear is generally sore and slightly swollen. Sleeping on this side will not be wise for a while, you will also want to use care if you wear headphones or talk on the phone a lot (don't press the phone against your ear)

your upper ear is the mose sensitive part, it will never be pain free if you were to pierce it..Try not wearing the fake earring for a week to see if that is the problem of just having something there, and if does not hurt anymore, then maybe you should rethink getting it pierced. But if you do decide to pierce it it will always hurt, even the slightest touch would hurt.

When I got my upper ear pierced it didn't really hurt. It just felt like a needle poked it.. that's all. But then again I like pain like that.. seeing as I have 5 tattoos.
You can go to any hair salon and they can do it there. Mine costed $15.00 It's cheap and worth it! I love mine and don't regret it at all!
Pain level from one to ten.. for me.. I'll say a 2. Not much pain at all!! Good luck!

*The fake earring is prolly hurting b/c of the pressure it has to be held in place. When getting it peirced.. it won't even hurt that bad as your fake earring right now!

You may want to get a higher grade earring... it doesn't have to be too expensive, you can just get gold coating on it and that way it won't irritate your ear... or you may just be sleeping on it wrong. An upper ear piercing isn't too expensive, around 60 bucks with a decent earring. Doesn't hurt too bad but if you already have one upper ear piercing that has been bothering you lately shouldn't you already know most of this already?
