I have been on the treatment for about 6 months now and my doctor told me after my second shot i should not bleed. i had a lot of complications with my first shot and now even more with the 2nd one. i have been bleeding for about 13 days now non stop with excruciating pain. and i have done everyhting i can and the doctors cant tell me whats wrong or going on. so now they are sending me to higher specialest but i was hoping someone on here could help me out a little bit. i am looking for some friends i can talk to a nd vent...lol... i am very young and i am juss tryin to do my best i dont want to be sick when my daughter gets older and have her know that i am sick. so can someone PLEASE help me.........Thank you very much ...........Noel...

I believe you're referring to the contraceptive injection? I didn't experience pain with it, but I bled nonstop for a good three months before I decided my body just wasn't going to get used to the change in hormones. I was given the pill to stop the bleeding, but it's not a long term solution. Better to change to the pill or some other contraception altogether.

I'm not exactly sure why some women react like we did, but what's happening is the uterine lining is collapsing as fast as it's being built up. I've been told I have a pretty high testosterone level, which (and this is where I'm piecing things together, so don't quote me) may be why hormone-based contraceptives that don't contain oestrogen don't work so well for me.

All I can advise is switching contraceptives. As for having someone to talk to, my e-mail's open.
