I have to decide between these 3 running backs this week. I have Willie Parker, Laurence Maroney, and Tatum Bell. I can only start 2 of them. I always start Parker, but I can't decide between Bell and Maroney. This is huge becaues if I lose this week my playoff hopes will be dashed.

YES its really a question! I also dont get any points for running back kickoffs or punts. Just rushing yds, recieving yds, and tds!

Well, there are no guarantees in the NFL, anything can happen but one should play the percentages. It's a tough call because both Bell and Maroney are in platoon situations and face comparable defenses.

Tatum Bell looks like he will play this week so it's probably a platoon situation. Tatum appears to be the favored back, and Mike didn't do very much last week, even with Tatum out, and in fact the majority of his games have been pretty unproductive, even though he's unquestionably talented. Denver faces a difficult game with Seattle (Denver is a 3 to 3.5 point favorite) and if they get into a situation where they are playing from behind they will tend to pass rather than run. Seattle is the #15 defense in the league vs. the run.

I would start Maroney vs. Detroit (#23 defense in the league vs. rushing) because the matchup is more favorable, and NE, a 13.5 point favorite, is very likely to get off to an early lead and run often because of that. You never know whether Brady will favor Dillon or Maroney in a particular game, both because of the coach's trickery/game plan, and because Brady just plain distributes the ball all over the place, but Maroney has had a lot of productive games, and when (if?) he's handed the ball frequently, he tends to have productive games.

So again, no guarantees, but I think the indicators favor Maroney. Like you said, Parker vs TB is a no brainer.

Go with Bell. Mike bell is not playing much so tatum should get most of the carries. Honestly I would go with Bell and Maroney this week.

IS THAT REALLY A QUESTION? Maroney, by far i mean he runs punts back, runs kicks back, is running all the time hear the endzone, and Bell is facing the SEA D, while NE is facing the DET D...... come on now
