The first answer is correct, only once, only the year was 2006.
The reference below comes from NBA.com and lists all the NBA Finals Champs up to 2003. As you can see the Heat aren't on there at all. After that Detroit won in 2004 and San Antonio in 2005, the Heat won the last (2006).

Wade carried the team. Love them or hate them they got it done, Wade went nuts, Zo (though I hate him for refusing and robbing Toronto) was blocking shots like they were nothing, and Shaq was pretty much absent (though he played his numbers were down big time, averaging 13ppg).
