yes, eventually the wax and paint will wear away exposing the hole. thus leaving the hole open and more prone to damage!

Yes, your floor is damaged.

I will try to be polite here. It looks like you have made 2 mistakes.

1 - laminate flooring is not hardwaring, is prone to damage, not repairable and a fashion that will fade away as fast as it arrived.

2 - DFS spend 80% of thier operating budget on advertising. of the remaining 20% 15% goes to SG&A, buildings and salaries. The remaining 5% in the retail price is the cost of your sofa. If you buy from DFS you are buying something that costs about £20 ex-works.

I wish you well in your replacements soon, you have found the real problem with laminate flooring, its not flexible nor repairable properly.

Its unlikely they will pay for a new floor if all they did was bring it in and put it down then its down to wear and tear. They will claim your floor is sub-standard.

Sorry for you, but a dented floor is probably not the end of the world.

Hardwood flooring would provide you with the perfect resale for the money, yet is severe priced. Hardwood might want to run everywhere from 3 to 10 money in line with sq. foot. no matter if it really is scratched, it will be sanded and redone later on. Engineered is a hardwood floor, yet won't be able to be refinished in case something occurs. also prices round 2.5 to 4 money sq. foot. Laminate seems a touch more less costly, yet will delay extra useful than hardwood or Engineered contained in the longer time period. i'd advise the Pergo 30 12 months assure. Hardwood must be nailed all the way down to the floor, Engineered must be tacked or glued down and laminate is free floating. contained when it comes to the hardwood and engineered, you would might want to pull up the ceramic tile. With laminate, you would no longer might want to attempt this. Laminate in inventory might want to fee round 2 to 4 money a sq. foot. fairly some laminate flooring now appear as if the authentic element. I advise you carry out a touch window finding out to purchase to make sure for your self.

Your floor itself should not be weakened. When you are able to it would be best to re-laminate.
