Well emmm....So we have someone to watch over us and help us be good and to talk to when we are alone. I guess I just don't think about it that often.

Biology, evolution, cells, .... a bioligical accident of evolution.
As for your post title, God exists because there was a time that people had questions and there were no answers. Science hadn't yet reached a point that could give satisfactory answers to the questions people obsessed about .. like why we're here. Now that science is catching up, the use of religion is reaching it's end.

The question "why" implies a pre-ordained plan for god's or man's existence. Since there's no proof of gods and goddesses, i can only speak to how man came into existence. Since there's not one scintella of evidence to answer the question 'why', we can only observe and record how life came into being and how life will eventually reach total equilibrium, we even have a law for it....the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics.

I don't know or believe if god exist, but the reason for man to exist is quite simple: to alter and create reality. (Refer to link below. or to movie "WHAT THE BLEEP DO WE KNOW") It is quite unconceivable that there are more stars than all the grains of sand on all the beaches on Earth, in just our galaxy alone, and billions trillions of other galaxies,and our sun is just one of them, located in the backwaters of the milky way. You feel awfully small don't you? It is easy to say that we have no purpose, we're just here because of a series of random events known as natural selection, and we are here by accident. But who knows? We're not here to serve God. Instead we are God. We are the God of our own individual universe, and we have the potential to alter the reality of it. Again we create REALITY.

He is existence. We share in his existence but our essence is not pure existence. His essence is existence, he is life itself. Without God all that is could not be.
Something cannot come from nothing. All that exists had to start with a prime mover that gave the power to exist to all that follows.

y do u exist?? you exist not because u've chosen to, someone else chose for u to exist. That thing is the greter force. y does He exist??? thats quite deep. Somethn perhaps u should ask. But better yet, y not put it this way---Why shouldnt He exist?

I think a better question is how do we even exisist in the first place? If the Big Bang theory is true, and that is what created the universe, what was before that?

God exists to create the earth and to send Jesus, the Alpha and Omega, to die for us so that we may have eternal life in Heaven. Geeez, how AWESOME is that? That one man would go through all that for YOU?? Give his life to save YOUR life.....Thank you Jesus!
