I bought a basil plant at the supermarket. It was supposed to be one of those things that you grow for a while and let it die.
(big plant, tiny pot!)
I transplanted it into a larger pot and it's still alive. You have to keep them in a warm & sunny spot and don't let them dry completely out. Pinch off the tiny leaves on the top of each stem, or the plat gets too tall. Gently pick off the amount of leaves that you need and add them to the food. Once a month I feed it some organic plant food.
Check out the web site below for more info.....and good luck!

If I understand your question correctly you would like to get fresh basil plants now, try nurseries near you (for seeds or plants). For info. on propagation and care of basil I would suggest--www.gardenaction.co.uk. . . --basil--Good luck.
