You want to stay with Nintendo. I recommend the Nintendo Gamecube because the games are still readily available and family friendly. Spyro Ener the Dragonfly or any of the Spyro games are good. There's a lot of good family friendly games out though. Avoid the Simpson's Hit and Run game because of the cussing. You might like Starfox Adventures, but the main character does use a staff to attack enemies. Perhaps try the Sonic the Hedgehog and Megaman games. There's also some pretty good Pacman games for Gamecube. Best of luck!

Gamecube has good children games with very minimal violence if you stay away from T+ rated games, then all children, ages 4-10, can have fun. PS3... I am not so sure they have very safe games, and that there is a possible risk there. The Wii is a definite no since its complety wireless and requires much movement, like hitting other people or things.

Any nintendo system. Nintendo is known for being family freindly and has by far the most E rated games. For four to 9 years old, try looking for a gamecube on ebay, as people are selling them cheaper/inbundles/cheaper in bundles.

All of the nintendo systems are good for family-oriented games, but for two kids to play together, i'd definitely reccomend the Wii. Although if you can't afford that, the gamecube has a lot of party games as well. not to mention the sega dreamcast, if you can get one. I have one, and many of the games for it are very kid-friendly.

They would really enjoy the Gamecube or VTech. VTech is cool because it educates them, instead of just playing nonsense. Although, studies have shown that video game players are much better drivers (when they are old enough to do so) because they have great eye-hand coordination, and are very observant.

The Wii is a good choice, but not because there are a lot of games out for it yet, but because kids can be more active while playing.
