There is nothing more sexy than a woman in her power business suit with stockings and stiletto heels. Depends what you class as sexy. A woman in the office in a stupidly short mini dress is just tacky.

The whole "women are so lucky because they get to dress sexy at work" thing is kind of a bunch of baloney the fashion and underwear industries have fed us since the '80s, when men who were nervous about all the new career women (and wanted to make money off of flouncy crap) started lambasting the suit. Read the chapter entitled "Dressing the Dolls" in Susan Faludi's _Backlash: The Undeclared War Against American Women_. It details the resurgence of the lingerie industry following the women's liberation movement, the advent of Victoria's Secret, the rise to fame of the Guess jean, and advertising and media's role in defeminizing the business suit. It's well researched, rather eye-opening and will certainly make you question how much of the business suit's "boring" reputation was invented by men.

I think it is inappropriate. There's a woman who dresses very sexy where I work, and no one really takes her seriously. Everyone just assumes that she is not very intelligent from the start. I am not saying that that kind of judgement is fair, but it does happen. If people want to be treated professionally, then they should appear professional.

I dress sexy at work, but I never wear anything too revealing. I try to keep a reasonable line between sexy and professional.

The work place isn't a place to dress sexy. You're there to work.. not to impress. (well you shouldn't be there to impress) At work, I wear dress pants with nice black dress shoes (not necessarily heals either) with a fancy top (nothing revealing) and/or a blazer over top. It's professional and classy all at the same time!

It's inappropriate. You don't have to dress like a nun, but sexy is definitely not professional.

Dressing in the "business" clothes in the Victoria's Secret catalog is a bad idea...you are asking for trouble, be it sexual harassment, jealous girls, or akward moments (wardrobe malfunction, men staring at your assets, etc). Not a good idea, I think I dress respectable but I even have the occasional problems because so many tops that I like are cut too low or are tight fitting. Conservative without frumpiness is my theory

dress sexy or formal , it makes no difference coz you are the same person at the end. if ladies out of work can dress sexy then so can ladies at their workplace. you should wear what you feel comfortable in , be it sexy or formal. i think that there is no problem in women dressing up sexy in their working enviroment as long as their work gets done instead of modelling about
