Is it possible to determine my rising sign without knowing what time I was born? My parents don't know and it's not on my certificate.
I heard that some people can tell your rising sign just by your characteristics. Here are mine, if someone can help out.
I've been described as quiet all my life. I don't speak unless I feel like I have something to say. I'm an avid daydreamer and tend to live in my own little world. That's made me a good fiction writer. I'm a good liar, but I rarely do so. I'm short, have a very rounded figure even when I'm underweight, a picky eater and a hypocondriac. I don't care about status or owning nice things. I'm very scared of being poor one day and am very conservative about money. My feelings are hurt very easily. I'm moved by other's plights, but in the end I'm pretty selfish. I can be lazy, unless I'm on the clock and then I work very hard. I'm very indecisive. I'm a bit of a drama queen and very emotional. I'm pessimistic and a worry wart.

It is impossible to determine your ascendant for certain without knowing the time you are born. It does control appearance, but that is ambiguous. One can narrow it down some but not say absolutely. There are many people whose time of birth is not recorded. Astrologers just assume midnight in such cases in general. I hate such sloppiness, so I refuse to say.

I don't think you can figure your rising sign or descending sign without a birth time. Have you tried http://www.astrology.com
