I think our all volunteer military is made up of the best people our country has to offer. If I loved a soldier and he asked me to marry him, I'd say YES in a second. If he went to Iraq or anywhere else, I'd pray for him and be so very proud to be associated with these brave, loyal, patriotic Americans!! I would rather have my husband die protecting our country than killed by a drunk driver, which could happen at any time.

I am a Soldier and I just got married to a Civilian.
Guess your theory just got busted. I am betting you are one of those that expect Soldiers to do their jobs, but hate the fact we exsist.

Of course I would, and I have two nephews that got married right before they shipped off to Iraq as well.

Well firstly I would not date a solider if I knew he would be deployed. So i'd never marry a solider because of the heartbreak if anything happened.

if you are in love with the person, reguardless of there profession marriage is somethnig you would want or atleast i would. being a soldier in a time of war is something to consider but it wouldnt stop me

I have seen many soldiers wives do nothing but cheat on them. One time one girl said "my friends cat died, and I needed someone to hug" I cannot count on my fingers how many guys got kicked out for the better of the service, cause their wives was in some love triangle....

Well, If I married a soldier, she'd probably be kicked out, so it'd be fine. lol.
Anyway... Yeah I would, if I really loved her, I would wait and hope she'd return alright.
