I'm going over to Bulgaria in January and need a good pair of boots, preferably knee high and waterproof. I don't want to spend too much as I'm only going for the week, but would like to wear them at home as well with my jeans.

I recently got some great winter boots from Jones the bootmaker. (UK) I was reccomended to this shop by a friend. The quality of leather is excellent and they advised me on what polish to use to make them super waterproof in the bad London weather, as I walk to work and my boots usually get riuned!

The ones I have are snoopy boots from Jones.( £100) They are flat so good for walking, but are not too pointy so won't ruin easy, and I can tuck my jeans in to them or wear them with tights and leggings.

Perfect.

To extra waterproof your boots I was also told to use vaseline as a final coat which is working well too, but only on shiny leather not suede as you'll ruin them. x

If you don't mind shopping online try www.shoe-shop.com. There's a few trendy new styles in the female boot urban section that you'll probably get use of at home too.

Try millets stores for this one. I'm sure they supply snow boots. Thermal socks will be handy too.

Try Taget, Payless, or eBay. If you don't have one near you, both Target and Payless have on line shopping available, though they don't offer all of their styles on line.
