like just recently after I spent three months in mexico with her she is now in nova scotia and so I thought well she has no music so I sent her hours of music that I know she'd love cause thats the kind of thing I do and she emails me oh that was very sweet. Is it me? Is it patronizing? To me you say oh thats sweet and then you pin the peice of crap your child has drawn for you on the fridge.

Depends on the person. It could mean that she was touched.

No, what she means is that it is very thoughtful and kind of you!

In female terminology, what she's saying is: "You're a chump and I'd really rather you'd stop trying to impress me and just ease off..." You ain't gittin' none, so find another object of interest!

"Oh that's very sweet" translation - "That was the biggest load of crap I've ever heard, I've just vomited, twice, in fact it was projectile"

i dont think she's being partronizing. it depends on the tone of her voice when she says it. and if she has ever said anything in a more appreciative and excited tone.but i think what you did was sweet.
