I just bought a gamecube and didn't even think about buying a memory card at the time and I'm in the middle of playing a game and I don't want to leave it running and would like not have to start game over. So can I put the memory card in while the game is on pause or will this ruin something and I'm SOL on having to start the game over. Thanks for any answers :)

The wii is basically a supercharged gamecube with action controls, each and every of the gamecube hardware is contained interior. All you want to play gamecube video games is a gamecube contoller and memory card.

You can always insert one, and if the gamecube doesn't say it's saving, you could probably remove a card as well.

yep, you can put it in whilst playing - I have three cards and always put the wrong one in, but it's fine to just change them over whilst playing (not I believe whilst the game is loading, but certainly during gameplay).

Hope this helps.

Yes, as long as your not loading, saving, or deleting from it.
