Your source for stamps are as follows -

1. Some book dealers sell stamp collections, check in your city which one does.
2. The post office for stamps currently in issue
3. Request your friends not to destroy mail envelopes but hand them to you
4. There are stamp clubs you can join (check google for one nearest to you) for exchanging stamps with other stamp collectors
5. Join a pen pal club to send and receive mail from overseas

Just remember one thing, a postmarked stamp is considered more valuable than an unused one.

i have lot of stamps, my children have no time and interest, right from the age of 20 i have been buying stamps from vendors in mumbai, which ever looked colour ful and attractive, some of the used stamps are there, there are more than one thousand stamps, i want to sell it as a lot , not kept systmactically, lot of them are just kept loose, how an where u wil see them, mail me through yahoo

Ask people who have foreign friends who send him letters. They will have stamps. Exchange your stamps with others when you have two of the same kind of stamp.

Your hobby was related with postal services. But unfornately courier services using no stamps and e-mailing (no stamping) has made it less interesting. Why not change your hobby.

you can ask your relatives who live invillage for it as there the send letters and not e-mail
