Hello, I am a Freemason of the esoteric kind, American Co-Masonry. We admit women and men, who are over the age of 21, of all races, who believe in a Supreme Being, who are tolerant of races and religions other than their own, who wish to improve the world by improving themselves.

Blaming strange occurances and bizarre murders upon a group such as Catholics, Jews, Freemasons, or Mormons may make exciting reading but is rarely (if ever) factual.

What we in Co-Masonry are about is to continue the aims of the Ancient Mystery Schools. We are about helping the person mold their character, to make the world right here better. We use the tools of ancient stone masons as symbols. After all, how difficult is it to change human character as an adult? About the same as shaping stone. Right? We do our best to stimulate the values of Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth within our members and to apply that throughout our lives and dealings with all of humanity.

This was what Freemasonry always was about. Again, we are a bit different because we admit women and we admit all races (some states in the US have problems with that) but truly that is the aim. We are not about going out and killing folks.

We are also not a religion. People of Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Jain, Buddhist, Taoist, Wiccan, Latter Day Saint, Deist, and whatever else may meet peacefully in Brotherhood and fellowship in our Lodges. We are about this world. We urge our members to attend their own churches and become better community members, better family members. That is what we are about.

If I may be of more assistance, feel free to write me. Click on the link below to learn more about American Co-Masonry.

Freemasonry is a fraternal organization whose membership is held together by shared moral and metaphysical ideals and—in most of its branches—by a constitutional declaration of belief in a Supreme Being
The fraternity of Freemasonry uses the allegorical metaphors of operative stonemasons' tools and implements against the backdrop of the building of the Temple of King Solomon, to convey what is most generally defined as: A peculiar (some say particular or beautiful) system of morality veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols. This is illustrated in the 1991 English Emulation Ritual
It is an esoteric society only in that certain aspects are private Freemasons have stated that Freemasonry has, in the 21st century, become less a secret society and more of a "society with secrets." Dr. Dieter Anton Binder a historian (and not a Freemason) who is a professor at the University of Graz (Austria) describes Freemasonry as a "confidential" society in contrast to a secret society in his book Die diskrete Gesellschaft Most modern Freemasons regard the traditional concern over secrecy as a demonstration of their ability to keep a promise and a concern over the privacy of their own affairs "Lodge meetings, like meetings of many other social and professional associations, are private occasions open only to membersthe private aspects of modern Freemasonry deal with the modes of recognition amongst members and elements within the ritual
While there have been many disclosures and exposés dating as far back as the eighteenth century, Freemasons caution that these often lack the proper context for true understanding, may be outdated for various reasonsor could be outright hoaxes on the part of the author Freemasons are proud of their heritage and are happy to share it, offering spokesmen, briefings for the media, and providing talks to interested groups upon request

Freemasons originally were a guild of masons. Nobles began entering the guild as the guilds became powerful and its participants were wealthy. Many of their rituals have pagan origins. I think the modern Masons are much like Fred Flinestones Wild Buffalo Club. It's a place for men to gather. Many US presidents and founding fathers were freemasons. It's almost like a fraternity. They have been quite secretive of their traditions, but you can find out much online.

I just read a book about them and evidently they don't do very much. Except
take sacred oaths to keep the secrets of the order, that the majority of
them never even get to find out about!

My father and my uncle are freemasons, so yes they still exist. It seems to be like a secret little religious club. I'm pretty sure they all just drink together, there's no sacrificing or murder or anything like that.
