Dang if I know, since it is a Federal Highway, at least mostly paid for with public funds. You folks up there amaze me that you pay these tolls at all. NJ and NY are still stuck in medieval practices in the 21st century. It's damn ridiculous to stop all that traffic in several places instead of just collecting a little more tax or redistributing funding. I took two vehicles to NYC for 2 weeks this summer and paid many tolls. Even though I have been up many times and expected it, it was a constant headache! And every toll plaza was always crowed. Anarchy reigns at some of them and at some specific times. Then there was the case that cost me an extra $50 dollars. I exited from the Jersey TP going toward the GWB immediately after I got onto it because we needed 'something' quickly. That plaza had a barricade in front of the cash line, and only had one other lane. That was an EZPass lane but there was no one anywhere around and I had no exact change (not that that would have mattered anyhow since it was an EZPass lane) so I went on thru and so did my other car right behind me. A few weeks later I got a summons for the toll plus $25 each administrative fee. Even though I protested I had to pay. I'm still ticked off about it. Hell, I've been ticked off about paying tolls since I paid my first one in 1965! Rise up on your hind legs and throw this practice and the crooks running it out up there.

You should watch "Animal Face-off" on the Discovery Channel. Here is a link where you can match up some animals. My favorite episode has been Elephant vs. Rhino....there is just no way a human could survive an attack by a Rhino....
