Several times. Some of them scold when we say we dont need them.
This is a nice joke of a Sales Man read it.
A new vacuum cleaner salesman knocked on the door on the first house of the street.
A tall lady answered the door.
Before she could speak, the enthusiastic salesman barged into the living room and
opened a big black plastic bag and poured dirty things onto the carpet.
"Madam, if I could not clean this up with the use of this new powerful vacuum cleaner,
I will EAT all this stuff!", exclaimed the eager salesman .
"Do you need chilli sauce or ketchup with that" asked the lady.
The bewildered salesman asked, "Why, madam?"
"We just moved in, & there's no electricity in the house!"

What a lot of people don't seem to realize is this ... they don't WANT to piss you off. Telemarketters are simply doing a job. They don't like annoying people, they don't like bothering you. But if they don't do their job, they don't get paid. They get told off on an hourly basis, get hung up on, cussed at and repeatedly talked down to, called every name under the sun ... and you don't understand why eventually some of them are going to be less than cheerful?
I have a lot more sympathy for telemarketters after working as one. As a point of interest, I lasted a week .... after being sworn at and told off a few hundred times, I told my supervisor to get my final cheque ready or I was putting my fist through the computer monitor.
Have a little compassion for the people you tell off on a daily basis. They're just trying to get a paycheque.
Edit: The post directly above mine, and a few others, only serve to illustrate my point.

My dog handles any telemarketing calls for me. Works great! He doesn't care what they say back to him, he just loudly barks at the phone when I hand it to him.

they try to be rude to me all the time. they have miserable jobs. i always ask to speak to a supervisor, report the rude behavior, and let the supervisor know that they should never, ever, ever call me again. if they call back, i again, ask for the supervisor and tell them in a verrrry nasty way to leave me alone. i have been know to cuss them out but i try not to do that.

Find out what company they're from and call them on it. If you put your name and number on the "no call" list it is illegal for them to call you.
