Have we not learned? War on drugs, war on terrorism, war on illiteracy, etc. has never worked out. You might just be proof of the last one. It only costs us lots of money, takes away true freedoms with an end result worse off than where we began.

You are definitely right on one point... YOU can NOT STOP terrorism. Terrorism is a disease. We have never ended any disease, we have helped to control a few of them by developing medicines to slow their increasing numbers. I do not fully agree with this WAR but I believe that whoever is in power was put there by our GOD and FATHER. HE is all-powerfuland all-knowing. It may not be a WAR "for our freedom" but I believe that if we begin slowing the progression of some of the terrorists in the Middle East and have a more stable form of government then we may begin a healing process in that region. I do not believe that any of our former US Presidents was 100% correct in any time of warfare and I do want our young men home safe and sound BUT I do not want our MEDIA to control this war by bringing them home the way they did in Vietnam. Let's finish this fight BEFORE we come home.
Those who became suicide bombers did not study their own religion. They followed a NUT and ended their lives the way that he did/will in eternal torment. I am sorry if I upset you with this writing. I did not mean to... Have a GREAT DAY!

OK and why do you think terrorism can't be stopped and what does religion have to do with wars? Those suicide bombers did not do that for their religion, they did it because they have been brainwashed into thinking they will get big **** when they die for their so called cause. I think you just want something to blame it on. Try blaming it on the people that actually cause it and not on religions.

Here is the best answer I can give you, and I won't resort to calling you names.
I supported and still support the war. But it is misnamed the "war on terror" as a result of 9-11 and the immediate reaction that was necessary in the wake of the attack on American soil. What it is in reality is the war between the west and islam. Those who deny that, possibly out of fear of being labeled "crusaders", have their heads in the sand. If we do nothing, and ignore the rising threat caused by islamist takeover of more and more middle-eastern countries, it will be too late to keep them from being the dominant world power.
With no action by the west to keep a foothold in the region, eventually Iran will be successful in causing the overthrow of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and several other unstable governments. Then we will have a regional "caliphate" completely capable of forcing the dismantlement of Israel, which they will proceed to do, possibly forcing a regional nuclear war as Israel will be left with no other choice if it wants to survive. Remember that if Pakistan falls to an Iranian backed Islamic revolution, Iran will control their current nuke stockpile even if they don't develop their own.
At the same time, we see the percentage of muslims in the population of the EU rising yearly, through uncontrolled immigration and lopsided birthrates in comparison to the low birthrate of non-muslim Europeans. Sharia law is ALREADY being introduced in Great Britain. The French have muslim riots and are making key decisions based on appeasing the islamic population. Spain is run by a new government based on islamic appeasement. On our own Continent, Canada is considering allowing Sharia law to take over the civil courts in majority-muslim communities.
Our freedom is most definitely in jeopardy if we continue to ignore the threat of global islamic domination that will be inevitable if we don't fight back now while we still hold the upper hand militarily. And make no mistake - Those who control the islamic world will have no hesitation in using a consolidated military force to complete their vision of World Islam as soon as they believe they have the upper hand.
Do you want your grandchildren to live under sharia?
And yes I do believe in God. I am a Roman Catholic. And whether religion in general "causes wars", makes no difference to my beliefs. I can't just stop believing in God because of that condition. In today's world, there is only one religion who believes in war to advance their religion, and that is islam. The rest of us are just defending our rights not to be forcefully "converted" or enslaved.

Our freedom was never in jeopardy by the middle east i mean we had drive by shootings in L.A. isn't that terrorism?why do we let that slide and go halfway around to world to start a war and clear land of it's native people for israelis to steal and rule. And if somebody killed my family you can bet id strap a bomb to myself and take as many of the enemy out to pay them back for what pain they have caused upon me.So we have to understand the real cause for this act and why they do it not just what we see on tv and read in the news papers but from the people setting off bombs why they do it.

Go and ask someone in New York City...Then be ready to run like hell! I will support any decision made by the commander in chief, because I'm an American. That's the only reason I need. Don't agree? Too bad!!!
