First convert 80% to decimal. remove the % sign

divide 80 by 100

80 / 100 = 0.8

Multiply 16 times the decimal

16 x 0.8 = 12.8

The answer is 12.8

= 12.8

or

=1280/100

If what you're deriving is the answer per unit, then you got it right. However, you don't have to put 1 in your denominator: ex. 3.25m/1 sec., proper way is 3.25m/sec. Per unit (ex. per second) is understood as per 1 second, so you don't have to put 1.
